1948 Grover Cleveland Alexander Signed Book Contract. Two-page contract between the brilliant but troubled Hall of Famer, his wife Aimee, and author McCullah St. Johns. The agreement spells out a partnership between the writer and the Alexanders for a biographical work of unspecified nature, possibly the genesis of the famous 1952 Ronald Reagan film "The Winning Team." Each party signs his or her assent to the terms on the second page, with the inaugural class Hall of Famer providing the rare and most desirable "Grover Cleveland Alexander" signature format. Each signature rates 9+/10, and the two pages of legal size onion skin paper exhibit original storage folds but no other issues of note. The finest representation we've encountered of this tough and important autograph. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
