1939 Baseball Centennial Hall of Famers Signed Postage Stamps Lot of 6. Once part of a tremendous collection of autographed stamps acquired in large measure at the Opening Ceremonies of the Baseball Hall of Fame, this grouping first saw the auction block at the famed 1999 Barry Halper sale. Some of the hobby's tougher Hall of Famers are included in this selection: Hugh Duffy, Connie Mack, Ed Walsh, Larry Lajoie, Herb Pennock and Walter Johnson (with Nolan Ryan signing above). All autographs are rendered in tremendously bold 10/10 black fountain pen, except for Ryan's which is inked in equally strong blue felt tip. The stamps themselves are likewise NRMT. Fantastic break down value here, or a way to quickly fill some gaps in your Cooperstown autograph collection. LOA from PSA/DNA.
