    Description

1934 Ted Williams Signed Junior High School Yearbook, Earliest Autograph Known. Authenticator Steve Grad claims to have never encountered an earlier Ted Williams signature than the one presented here in this "Annual of the February 1934 graduating class" of San Diego's Horace Mann Junior High School. Born in August of 1918, The Kid was not yet sixteen years old at the time. Listed under Teddy's main ambition? Sewing teacher. Sadly that dream would remain unrealized, as he would resign himself instead to being a Hall of Fame baseball player and war hero fighter pilot. Williams' signature appears amidst the jumble of youthful signatures on one of the back pages in 10/10 pencil. Soft cover yearbook is complete and exhibits handling wear, with a couple loose pages, but remains complete with no troubling damage. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
