1934 New York Yankees Team Signed Sheet. We've always been of the opinion that team sheets are underrated, as they almost always supply a signature quality superior to that of baseballs, which tend to suffer from that third dimension which attracts wear. But this is about as cool as it gets, a page which approximates a hotel ledger with a list of signatures, jersey numbers and positions in a neat grid. We particularly love the fact that the column headings of "Names of New York Yankees of 1934, No., Position" are penned in the unmistakable hand of the first signer, Babe Ruth. Following him below are fellow Bronx stars Gehrig, Combs, Gomez, Dickey, Ruffing, Sewell, Grimes, Crosetti, Chapman, Rolfe and more. Twenty-three signatures are here in total, each either a 9/10 or 10/10 in quality. Toning and wear at the edges has no bearing upon the writing. Page measures 8.5x11". Also note that Ruth's handwriting is found on page reverse, denoting similar columns for the St. Louis Browns, who did not subsequently sign. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
