1931 St. Louis Cardinals Team Signed World Series Program. Connie Mack's bid for an October trifecta was halted by this flock of red birds, who overcame the thunderous bats of Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons and Mickey Cochrane with world class pitching, including two complete game victories from Hall of Famer Burleigh Grimes. The right-handed superstar appears in bold pencil among twenty-five fellow Cardinals autographs upon their team page near the back of the Philadelphia model World Series program presented here. All the rest who appear have signed in the same 8/10 and better blue ink, including Haines, Bottomley, Frisch, Hafey, Street, Derringer, Orsatti, Martin, Gonzales and Collins. When possible, each signature is applied atop or below the player's individual portrait, providing a fantastic visual display. The program itself exhibits a degree of surface and edge wear but remains solid and complete, with no negative effects upon the signatures it holds within.
