    Description

1930 Babe Ruth & John McGraw Signed World Series Program. The playing field wasn't the only part of Sportsman's Park packed with Hall of Famers on the afternoon of October 5th, 1930--the grandstand was as well! One fan on hand to watch Lefty Grove and Jesse Haines battle it out in Game Four spotted two Big Apple legends among the spectators and secured pencil autographs on the cover of his program to commemorate the meeting. Babe Ruth's signature rates a bold 9/10, while the gruff John McGraw is several shades lighter at 3/10. A third unknown signature is here as well, along with the fan's penciled notation of the date. The program itself shows expected but acceptable wear, with vertical center fold that intersects no signatures, and remains tightly bound with no tearing or staining of note. Interior scorecard is filled out in pencil. No shortage of elite baseball history here. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
