1927-28 St. Louis Cardinals Uniform Player's Contracts Lot of 2. Pair of fully executed National League contracts secure the services of rookie outfielder Homer Peel for the 1927 season and veteran southpaw pitcher Bill Sherdel for 1928. Each lists salary for the player in question ($600/month for Peel, $10,000/year for Sherdel) and is signed by the player and Cardinals president Sam Breadon in Mint ink. Perhaps most noteworthy is the approving autograph on the cover by National League president John Heydler, each in 10/10 black ink. The contracts themselves show expected wear at the edges and some scattered staining, but both are solid and complete. LOA from PSA/DNA.
