1917 Roger Bresnahan & Jacob Ruppert Signed Transfer Agreement. One was a former battery mate of Christy Mathewson and Iron Joe McGinnity. The other was the man responsible from bringing the Babe to the Yankees, and bringing the Yankees to the Bronx. Here they appear together on a player transfer contract to dress a member of Bresnahan's Toledo team in pinstripes. Each autograph survives in 9/10 black fountain pen ink on this standard transfer agreement, which exhibits original storage folds but no other issues of note. The player, "Wm. Hamilton," is not the famous "Sliding Billy," and appears in no Major League records, suggesting that Toledo repurchased the release prior to the transfer. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
