1914 Lynn St. John Signed Ohio State University Coaching Contract. Known as "The Saint," Lynn St. John was a pioneer in college athletics, coaching baseball, basketball and football, as well as serving in an athletic director role for thirty-three years. This offered contract is an extremely rare example of a contract for Ohio State to play the University of Wooster in baseball, and agrees to pay the sum of seventy-five dollars to St. John for his role. Although this contract was for baseball, St. John may be best known for his role in college basketball, as evidenced by his inclusion in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1962. Keep in mind, St. John died in 1950. Signatures has very light bleeding on the "L" but is otherwise a 9/10. Contract only shows light chipping along the edges and corners, and normal folds. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
