    Description

1911 Eddie Collins Signed Original Artwork. One talented young artist recognized brilliance early, seeking out the future Hall of Famer's autograph just six seasons into Collins' quarter century Major League playing career. The colored pencil artwork is signed by the artist and dated "Oct 1911," the month that the speedy second baseman and his Philadelphia Athletics defeated John McGraw's New York Giants to claim victory in the eighth edition of the World Series. Collins' massive black fountain pen signature appears at bottom in its incredibly rare early format, rating an impressive 9/10 on the 9x13" page. The display presents flawlessly and is simply matted and framed to final dimensions of 13x17". Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
