    Description

1910 Christy Mathewson Signed Book Plate. With his exceptional Hall of Fame pitching career beginning in the year 1900, and his death a quarter of a century later, the great Christy Mathewson has been a major challenge for serious autograph collectors for generations. Here we present one of the finest examples we've seen of his scarce and enormously desirable signature, applied to a bookplate removed from a presentational copy of his popular hardcover Won in the Ninth. The 3x4" card exhibits some mild toning that does nothing to diminish the power of the signature. The card is encapsulated by PSA/DNA for protection and unquestioned authenticity. Guide Value or Estimate: $10,000 - $15,000.
