Mid-1970's Rube Marquard Single Signed Baseball. Along with Christy Mathewson, this Hall of Fame southpaw anchored one of the most fearsome pitching rotations of the Dead Ball Era for perennial National League flag bearers the New York Giants. Here we find a very tough single from this early legend, made all the more scarce for the appearance of the 10/10 black ink autograph on the sweet spot of this OAL (MacPhail) sphere. The scant few Marquard singles that have surfaced in recent years are all but exclusively signed on the side panel. A thin brushing of clear sealant over the autograph is barely visible, and has served its intended purpose admirably. Arguably the most appealing Marquard to reach the auction block in recent years. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
