Massive Baseball Autograph Hoard. The balance of a single collectors enormous autograph lot is presented here. Far, far to many autographs to count, certainly numbering well into the thousands. Thirteen binders are packed to the gills, primarily with index cards and similar cut signatures, featuring names from the historic to the monumentally obscure. Most have notations on the verso recounting the players' service to the Majors, often just a year or two many decades ago. Several large freezer bags are likewise jam-packed with hundreds of autographs from the twentieth century diamond. While the vast majority would be unfamiliar to all but the most devout baseball historian, there still remain scores of legends to be found, far too many for even the majority of them to be listed. A moderate sampling of index cards: Jesse Haines, Buck Leonard, Lloyd Waner, Al Kaline (at least 8), Freddie Lindstrom, George Kelly (at least 20), Don Larsen, Fergie Jenkins, Whitey Ford, Ernie Banks (at least 5), Rube Marquard, Tug McGraw, Steve Carlton, Bill Terry (more than 20), Yogi Berra, Duke Snider, Brooks Robinson, Dom DiMaggio, Dave Winfield, George Sisler, Rick Ferrell, Roger Peckinpaugh, Charles Gehringer, Howard Cosell, Hal Newhouser, Harmon Killebrew (11), Lefty Grove (at least 7), Harry Hooper (at least 12), Bucky Harris (many), Jim Bunning, Joe Morgan, Joe Torre (vintage), Ernie Lombardi, Bill Mazeroski, Red Schoendienst, Monte Irvin (at least 15), Phil Niekro, Early Wynn, Fred Snodgrass (at least 17), Cool Papa Bell, so many more. Also here are 97 checks from Al Barlick, two Arky Vaughan cut signatures, a Lloyd Waner signed check and dozens of cut signatures, two Casey Stengel cut signatures, a George Kelly signed check, an Eppa Rixey check, a Duke Snider signed 8x10" photo, and on and on and on. And, remember, the listed autographs represent just a tiny fractionAuction Info
