    Description

500 Home Run Club Signed Cachet. This popular Gateway cover was produced in 1989 to commemorate the 11 living members who have hit 500 home runs. 1989 also celebrates the 150th Anniversary of Baseball. The signatures included on the cachet are: Reggie Jackson, Willie Mays, Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Harmon Killebrew, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, Willie McCovey, Frank Robinson, Ernie Banks and Mike Schmidt. All 11 signatures were obtained in Atlantic City, New Jersey where the famous signings took place. The envelope measures 9-1/2" x 4-1/8" and is postmarked Jan. 14, 1989. A second postmark of Feb. 14th 1989 has also been added. Pete Rose has signed the cachet as well, about 6 months prior to his banishment from the game. All of the signatures are in ball point and are strong and grade minimally "9." LOA from PSA/DNA.
