    Description

1960's Jackie Robinson Handwritten Signed Letter. Intriguing content brings an air of mystery to this two-page (single sheet, front and back) handwritten letter from baseball's greatest racial pioneer. The letter follows an appearance on an unnamed "program," likely for television or radio. Robinson writes, in part, "I was especially surprised to find the attitude of Joe Dolan. He needs to do a lot of soul searching for he is the kind of guy we fear." The single page of letterhead from a San Francisco hotel exhibits original mailing folds but no other issues of note, and all of Robinson's blue ink and closing full signature remains 9+/10. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
