    Description

1960's Jackie Robinson Handwritten Signed Letter. The first African-American player in both the Major Leagues and the Baseball Hall of Fame sends a letter of gratitude to the new manager of a Jamaican resort. He writes, in part, "Runaway Bay was a wonderful experience for us. The hotel and the staff tried and succeeded in making our trip a joyous one." The letter is penned in 9+/10 blue ink on a single page of "Jackie Robinson" letterhead and closes with a simple "Sincerely, Jackie." Original mailing folds and very minimal edge toning. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
