1960's Bobby Thomson Handwritten Letter. Though responsible for what many consider the most thrilling moment in the long history of our National pastime, the former New York Giants great is characteristically modest in this short note to the young autograph collector. Content could not be better: "Dear Doug, You may already have read an account of my 1951 home run so I won't get into a million details. It was the last of the ninth inning. There was one out with men on second and third. The score was 4 to 2, at the time, in favor of the Dodgers. On the second pitch Branca through (sic) to me, I closed my eyes and swung and the ball landed in the left field seats. Final score: Giants 5, Dodgers 4. Hope this does it, Doug. Sincerely, Bobby Thomson." Page (8.5x11") has a vertical crease that does nothing to detract, and all ink is 10/10. LOA from PSA/DNA.
