    1934 Walter Johnson Handwritten Signed Letter. Just two years before he was named to the inaugural class of the Baseball Hall of Fame, and seven years after pitching the last of his 417 career victories, the Big Train mailed this brief note to a friend, writing, "Dear Bryant, Your letter came and I was glad to hear from you. Right now I don't think I could do a thing for you but come up and see us and maybe some thing will turn up. Sincerely, Walter Johnson." The black fountain pen ink, including the closing signature, rates 9/10 or better, and the letter is dated in blue, perhaps in another hand. The single page of Huntsville, Alabama hotel letterhead exhibits original mailing folds otherwise Fine. Original mailing envelope addressed in Johnson's hand (but unsigned) is included.
