1906 Adrian "Cap" Anson Handwritten & Signed Six Page Letter. The lengthiest handwritten correspondence we've ever encountered by this founding member of the 3,000 Hit Club. Anson's bold 9+/10 black fountain pen ink fills front and back of three pages of his Chicago City Clerk's Office personal letterhead, and discusses in great detail various business dealings. A small selection: "I was not successful in getting the store on Madison St. for a saloon, but I am told by the man that transferred it that the shoe man is not pleased with the showing he has made since he has been there..." His closing signature, "AC Anson" is as bold as the rest of the ink but was slightly brushed by Cap's hand. The pages exhibit original mailing folds but otherwise present without flaws. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
