    Description

    Late 1930's Lou Gehrig Signed Cut Signature Display. We attribute this stage in the evolution of the Iron Horse's all-important autograph to the closing seasons of his Hall of Fame career, shortly before a tragic illness robbed the game of its most dedicated and noble practitioner. The black fountain pen ink signature has mellowed to brown but lost none of its boldness, registering at 9+/10 on the unlined clipping. Visible area is approximately 1.5x3". Matted and framed with a Doug West print to final dimensions of 21x29". Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentcation.
