    Description

Late 1920's Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball. The presence of this first great New York Yankees duo upon a Western League sphere leads us to theorize that it may well derive from the famous Bustin' Babes vs. Larrupin' Lous barnstorming tour featuring Ruth and Gehrig in off-season following the World Championships of 1927 and 1928. The Babe is a bit light on the sweet spot but still fully discernible at 4/10. Gehrig fares better on the northern panel, registering at an entirely respectable 7/10. The ball itself is lightly and evenly toned with a few minor surface abrasions which remain clear of the signatures. No Yankees collection should be without a Ruth/Gehrig ball so it's time for the pinstriped faithful to step up to the plate. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
