    Description

Late 1920's Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball. Small clues in autograph formation lead us to the conclusion that these signatures date from the 1927-28 area, when this most celebrated of Yankee partnerships was redefining the nature of the game with its offensive onslaught. Very possibly acquired during the Bustin' Babes vs. Larrupin' Lou's tours that followed those two World Championship seasons, this "Official League Special" ball provides a sweet spot Ruth and side panel Gehrig that resonate at a strength of 8/10 and 7/10 respectively. The ball is modestly and evenly toned throughout, with some spotting that remains well clear of the autographs. A solid example of an essential ball for the serious baseball autograph collector.
