Jimmie Foxx Signed Wire Photograph. The second member of the 500 Home Run Club stands to the left of the first member (and two other fairly decent batters named Al Simmons and Lou Gehrig) in this shot snapped at the second All-Star Game in 1934. Though this 1948 reprint was produced for a sad occasion (the text at right notes "Ruth died in New York tonight from cancer at the age of 53"), the blue ink autograph from the great Jimmie Foxx should do wonders for lightening the mood. Always tough on photographs, Foxx's signature rates a strong 8/10 to 9/10. The photograph itself displays wonderfully, and the minor border wear could easily be matted out for a NRMT appearance. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
