    Signed Jay Berwanger (1935 Heisman Trophy Winner) PSA/DNA Index Card. In 1935, Jay Berwanger won the first "Downtown Athletic Club Trophy" which was renamed the following year to the "Heisman Trophy." Berwanger played halfback for the University of Chicago where he was called a "one man football team." In 1936, he was honored with another first - he was the first player drafted from the very first National Football League (NFL) Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. He never signed with a team so he could compete in the 1936 Olympics. Offered is a signed index card autographed by in heavy blue marker. Another hand has added: "?? Heisman 1935" "U of C" "All American 34-35." Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
