    Description

1954 New York Giants - World Series Champs - Cut Signature Display (34). Few experts gave the National League Champs much World Series hope against the Cleveland Indians, who had posted an outrageous 111-43 record during the regular season and boasted three future Hall of Famers in their pitching rotation. And nobody could have dreamed of the four-game sweep handed to the American League juggernaut, establishing the last World Championship in Polo Grounds history.

The offered 31x33" display centers around black-and-white photo of the championship squad, thirty-one members have signed index cards and three have signed Perez-Steele postcards with all carefully matted around the photograph. Signatures include: Joe Amalfitano, Johnny Antonelli, Foster Castleman, Al Corwin, Al Dark, Leo Durocher (HOF), Freddie Fitzsimmons, Herman Franks, Joe Gargiola, Billy Gardner, Paul Giel, Ruben Gomez, Marv Grissom, Jim Hearn, Bobby Hofman, Monte Irvin (HOF), Larry Jansen, Ray Katt, Alex Konikowski, Don Liddle, Whitey Lockman, Sal Maglie, Willie Mays (HOF), Windy McCall, Don Mueller, Dusty Rhodes, Frank Shellenback, George Spencer, Bill Taylor, Hank Thompson, Wes Westrum, Hoyt Wilhelm (HOF), Davey Williams, and Al Worthington. A phenomenal display piece. Please be advised that there is some damage to the frame in the form of chipping and scratching. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
