HAYWORTH & REESE SIGNED BASEBALLS PSA. A pair of colorful old timers personally penned these two baseballs. Ray Hayworth died in 2002 at the age of 98. A catcher, he played in two World Series with the Tigers in 1934 and 1935 as the backup to HOFer Mickey Cochrane. After his playing career he became a long-time scout and baseball executive. Reese, who was at one time Babe Ruth's roommate with the Yankees, stayed around professional baseball as a player and coach for 78 years before dying at the age of 92. It is said that Nolan Ryan named one of his boys after Jimmy. The Hayworth ball, signed on the sweetspot with a blue pen, exhibits some bleeding and is filled in a bottom panel with Hayworth's ML record (8/10). Reese has a very clean signature in black pen that is a little left of center on the sweetspot, but rates an 8-9/10. LOAs from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA and Mike Gutierrez/MGA.
