    Description

Early 1950's Mel Ott Signed Hall of Fame Plaque, PSA Authentic. A dead-pull left-handed slugger, Master Melvin and the Polo Grounds' short right field porch were a match made in heaven, responsible for the expansion of the 500 Home Run Club to a trio. Ott's fatal automobile accident in 1958 has made his the scarcest of signatures from the Club, and we find a marvelous 9/10 blue ink example on this black and white plaque postcard issued shortly after his Cooperstown induction. What appears to be some sort of ink stamp appears at lower border, but the postcard was never mailed. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
