    Early 1940's World War II Baseball Photographs Lot with Ott, DiMaggio Signed Images. Over two hundred photos comprise this hefty collection deriving from the American involvement in the Second World War. Over half of the images are autographed, largely by minor stars and unknowns, though with a few notable exceptions. Five larger (8x10") images stand out. 1) Mel Ott signed photo, signature 8/10. 2) Team photo signed by all, including Joe DiMaggio (6/10). 3) Team photo signed by all, including Pee Wee Reese, Johnny Mize (9/10). 4) Johnny Vander Meer signed photo, signature 8/10. 5) James Braddock (boxer) signed photo, signature 8/10. Collection ranges from snapshot to 8x10" in size, VG-EX average condition. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
