    Description

Early 1940's Jimmie Foxx Signed Photograph. "The Beast" was unleashed on opposing pitchers in 1925, and in 1933 it culminated in a Triple Crown with a .356 average, 48 home runs, and 163 RBI. He led the league in these categories individually a total of nine times, and his lifetime mark of 534 home runs was good enough to place him second only to Babe Ruth for longballs at the time. "Double X" is surprisingly one of the more difficult players of the 1930's and 1940's as far as autographs go, with far more demand than supply. An item like this, in particular, is sure to grab some attention. Signed on an original 3.5x5.5" Type I photograph from the era, the vintage fountain pen signature flows evenly across the white background in bold 10/10 ink. Framed to overall measurements of 7.5x9.5." Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
