    Description

Early 1930's Mickey Cochrane Signed Photograph to Tony Lazzeri. Each was a key figure in one of the two great dynasties of the era, and each would ultimately find immortality in Cooperstown bronze. This wonderful oversized (9x12") action shot of the Hall of Fame catcher dates prior to his 1934 departure for Detroit, as the black fountain pen inscription reads, "To my friend Tony, the best in the business, Mickey Cochrane, Athletics." Ink rates 8/10, and the photo is a bit rumpled at the edges but still presents very well, as our catalog imagery should indicate. Included is a letter of provenance from Lazzeri's son. Letter of provenance from David Lazzeri. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
