Early 1930's Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Multi Signed Baseball. With a combined 1,207 career home runs and thirteen World Series victories, no duo in baseball history was ever more productive than that of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. It is also difficult to think of two more legendary names when thinking about ambassadors of the sport. Finding the pair together on a signed baseball is always a thrill, and this offered OAL (Harridge) baseball fits the bill. Although heavily toned with dark stains, the red-and-blue stitched orb sports several signatures. The ball appears to have gotten damp at one point, blurring and fading most of the signatures beyond recognition. Several scuffs, dents and one hole are scattered throughout, with one touching on the Ruth autograph. "The Babe" takes his usual place on the sweet spot, in the boldest ink, rating a 5/10, while Gehrig's side panel signature is light, but unmistakable, grading out at a 2/10. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
