Early 1910's Ed Barrow Signed Letters Lot of 3. The Hall of Fame executive had yet to take his step up in class to the New York Yankees, but the fiery personality he'd display in the Bigs was already in full effect in these younger years. His typed July 29, 1911 letter condemns as "brainless" a staffer who leaked a story to the press. A Sept. 28, 1912 typed letter appears to address a request to secure World Series tickets, and includes a handwritten note at the end. And the third letter (date unclear) is handwritten in outrageously bold black fountain pen ink and discusses "Philadelphia during the World's Series." All letters are on team letterhead and signed at the close in 9/10 or better black fountain pen ink. Original mailing folds but no other significant distractions. All correspondence was directed to Newark Eagles team secretary Tom Martin. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
