Description

Circa 1980 Willard Brown Signed Index Card. He was the first black player to hit a home run in the American League, but the tremendous racism he encountered in St. Louis, and frustration at the lack of talent of his fellow Browns, drove him from the Major Leagues after just twenty-one games. The 2006 Hall of Fame inductee and Negro League legend provides a 10/10 blue ink signature on a blank 3x5" card. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication. Guide Value or Estimate: $600 - $800.
