Circa 1980 Satchel Paige Single Signed Photograph. He was one of the cockiest players to play the game, and Satchel Paige loved every minute of it. He played from 1926 all the way through 1966 with a few breathers along the way, and was the oldest MLB rookie at age 42. Notorious for showing up opposing batters, he loved to take them on one-on-one, with the rest of his team taking a seat for the show. The crowds loved his personality, and his pinpoint control and velocity mowed down rival batsmen like grass. The offered 8x10" photograph is an excellent reminder of Paige as a member of the St. Louis Browns, signed in solid 9/10 ink. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
