    Description

Circa 1979 Thurman Munson Signed Magazine Photograph. The most beloved and tragic Yankee captain since the great Lou Gehrig, Thurman Munson remains one of the most sought after baseball signatures of the post-war era. Here we present a marvelous 10/10 blue ballpoint ink specimen that adorns a five-inch square image clipped from a game program. Additional writing--most likely a personalization or another autograph--has been effectively obscured beneath Munson's signature. Image exhibits mild edge wear but otherwise presents perfectly. Offerings of authentic Munson signatures have become increasingly infrequent over the passing years, so smart collectors take every opportunity seriously. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
