    Description

Circa 1972 Dave Bancroft Signed Gold Hall of Fame Plaque. "Beauty" Bancroft's death just a year after his 1971 Hall of Fame induction makes his signed plaque one of the toughest in the hobby, but the rare few that do exist are all but universally signed on the verso. This specimen makes hen's teeth seem as common as dirt, and boasts a spectacular 9+/10 blue ink signature to boot. Postcard itself is equally fine. Our auction results database finds not a single front-signed example selling within a major auction this millenium, and it wouldn't be a great surprise if this were the last as well. An exciting find for the plaque collecting willing to go the extra mile toward completion. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
