    Description

Circa 1960 "Wahoo Sam" Crawford Single Signed Baseball. Ruth had Gehrig, and Cobb had this guy, a man whose baseball brilliance would be all the more celebrated had it not been orchestrated under the shadow of one of the game's all-time greats. The Hall of Fame outfielder's green ink serves as an apparent homage to his iconic teammate, whose use of the color is well established in the historical record. The side panel inscription is flawlessly bold, reading "Wahoo Sam Crawford, To Geoff, all good wishes." Ball is a clean "Ted Kluszewski" model. One of the best Crawford singles we've encountered. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
