    Description

Circa 1960 Jimmie Foxx Single Signed Mini Baseball. While Foxx' resounding successes on the diamond earned him Cooperstown immortality, the story changed dramatically once the star slugger hung up his spikes, battling unemployment, poverty and a nasty drinking problem throughout his post-baseball years. This diminutive little sphere, slightly larger than a golf ball, was a souvenir from his short-lived eatery, as its "Jimmy Foxx Restaurant" stamping indicates. Foxx made one patron's night by autographing the sweet spot in 8/10 blue ink, creating what would easily be a $20,000+ single at standard issue dimensions. An intriguing rarity, and a unique opportunity to fill that empty spot in your 500 Home Run or Hall of Fame single collection. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
