    Description

Circa 1955 Roy Campanella Single Signed Baseball. On a frigid and fateful night in January 1958, the automobile the Hall of Fame catcher was piloting from his Harlem liquor store to his Long Island home hit a patch of ice and skidded into a telephone pole, paralyzing the Dodger great from the chest down. While there is still a market for the labored post-accident autographs within the hobby, a tremendous premium is placed upon those signed before that tragic crash. Here we present the finest playing-days specimen we've ever handled, Campy's sweet spot signature presenting at a strength conservatively rated at 8/10 beneath a light clear coat. The full-sized "Official Junior" ball remains clean and white. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
