    Description

Circa 1950 Rabbit Maranville Single Signed Baseball. Although diminutive in stature, Rabbit Maranville could hit, field, and run with some of the best, as evidenced by his Hall of Fame enshrinement. He was in consideration for MVP eight times in his twenty-three year career and knocked out 2,605 hits. Passing away in 1954, and playing during a time that only players like Babe Ruth signed a ball by themselves, there seems to be a shortage in the market for Maranville single signed baseballs like the one offered here. This ONL (Frick) sphere is stained and lightly scuffed in spots, but offers an outstanding Maranville signature just barely left of the sweet spot, in 9/10 fountain pen. Likely one of the more outstanding single signed Maranville baseballs on the market. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
