Circa 1950 Jesse Burkett Signed Black & White Hall of Fame Plaque. Spectacularly rare offering is almost certainly the only example in the collecting world, acquired from this titan of the Dead Ball era during the brief period between his 1946 Cooperstown and his passing in 1953 at the age of eighty-four. Just about any baseball autograph collector worth his salt knows that Burkett, whose career spanned the period between 1890 and 1905, is an exceedingly tough signature in any format. But the modestly proportioned yet flawlessly rendered 10/10 black fountain pen ink signature presented here is truly one of a kind. A light lower right corner bend and mild edge toning do nothing to diminish the exceptional eye appeal of this singularly unique artifact which will serve to establish its eventual owner as a peerless collector. LOA from PSA/DNA.
