Circa 1950 Jack Norworth Handwritten Lyrics for "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." As the old saying goes, "Do as I say, not as I do." Though the Tin Pan Alley lyricist is best remembered for his famous 1908 tune celebrating our National Pastime, he didn't attend his first Major League game until 1940. Today he lies at rest just across the I-5 freeway from the Angels ballpark in Anaheim, making up for lost time. The presented single unlined page documents the tune in every fan's head, autographed at the close in the same 9+/10 black ink. The 7x10.5" page is professionally matted and framed with a photo of Norworth (also signed by Norworth) and of all the fallen Big Apple ballparks: Yankee Stadium before and after the 1970's renovation, Ebbets Field, the Polo Grounds and Shea. Complete framed dimensions are 32x36". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Third party shipping required.
