Circa 1944 Jimmie Foxx Signed Photograph by Burke. Masterful image could only be the work of famed sports photographer George Burke, who shared a Chicago home with this second 500 Home Run Club member during the war years. Photo appears to have been trimmed very slightly from its original 8x10" format, though is otherwise in stellar undamaged condition. No stamping on verso. The lengthy inscription from The Beast is equally fine, rating a conservative 9/10 in boldness. It reads, "To my friend Tom, Wishing you the best. You are a swell guy, 'Jimmie' Foxx." While any Foxx signed photo carries tremendous collecting appeal, his signature on a large format Burke photo takes the proverbial cake. Don't miss out on this one! LOA from PSA/DNA.
