    Description

Circa 1940 Kenesaw Mountain Landis Single Signed Baseball. Despite Landis' tremendous relevance to the sport, the man best remembered for banishing the Chicago Black Sox conspirators is rarely seen in a solo role on a signed baseball, so this should be considered an exciting opportunity for the serious collector. He appears on the sweet spot of an ONL (Frick) ball, writing "To Friend Leslie H. Jones, With my best wishes, Kenesaw M. Landis." This "full name" variation is particularly scarce for Landis, who typically signed with his "K.M." initials instead. The ink has survived seven decades admirably, presenting at a stunning 9/10 today. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
