Circa 1932 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jack Dempsey & Buck Shaw Signed Baseball. Four signers, four Hall of Famers. The provided quartet is a study in Golden Age greatness, beginning with the pinstriped tandem that established the Bronx as the center of the baseball world for the decade between 1925 and 1934. The Babe takes his customary sweet spot position in 7/10 blue fountain pen ink, while the Iron Horse grazes just to the left with similar boldness. The biggest name in the fight game makes it a trio, a 2/10 entry from Dempsey to the south of Ruth's equator, balanced by College Football Hall of Famer Shaw to the north, a teammate of George Gipp under the tutelage of Notre Dame's iconic coach Knute Rockne. Shaw projects at 6/10 in black fountain pen ink. The non-official sphere exhibits some surface loss near the stamping of the ball, but this remains hidden upon display. A special memento from an glorious era in American sport. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
