Circa 1930 George Wright Signed Cut Signature. He served as the shortstop of the original Cincinnati Red Stockings, the first fully professional baseball team, and was widely recognized at the time as the finest ballplayer on earth. Along with his elder brother Harry, George was instrumental in the early development of our National Pastime. He was named to the Hall of Fame in 1937, the year of his passing at age ninety, ensuring that modern collectors would require his extraordinarily rare autograph. We present one such example here, clipped from a document and matted with a Perez-Steele card for display. His black fountain pen ink registers with 9/10 boldness on the 1x3" unlined strip. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
