    Description

Circa 1930 Bill Dickey & Lefty Gomez Signed Photographs to Tony Lazzeri. No shortage of pinstriped Hall of Fame power here, as a pair of Yankees legends provides signed photos to another. While Dickey and Gomez are not the toughest of pre-war autographs, their vintage signatures carry extra appeal, and the personalizations to the Yanks' superstar second baseman ramps it up even further. Dickey's 6.5x8.5" photo is inscribed in 10/10 black fountain pen ink, "To Tony, A real fellow and a real friend, Sincerely Bill Dickey." Five tack holes appear at the borders, but no other flaws are worthy of note. Lefty's photo measures 6x8" and is inscribed in 9/10 black fountain pen ink, "To Tony, Best Wishes, Vernon Gomez." Three tack holes are found at the borders, and some light toning as well. Each photo is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Tony's son David Lazzeri. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
