    Description

Circa 1927 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball. Take a Ruth and a Gehrig autograph from the most memorable era of their joint brilliance, stack them on the side panel of an Official American League (Johnson) ball, and what do you have? The answer is the baseball you see here, a well-worn but still entirely presentable sphere that wonderfully recalls the Golden Age of New York Yankees baseball. Ruth's black fountain pen ink is still particularly bold, rating perhaps 7/10 due only to surface wear. His sidekick Lou below rates a conservative 4/10, as the ink is not quite as bold and the surface wear obscures three letters of his famous surname. It's not a pristine example, but still a very desirable artifact and a welcome addition to any fine autograph collection. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
