Circa 1923 Miller Huggins & Babe Ruth Multi Signed Baseball--Huggins Displays as a Single! Who would have thought one of the only men able to stand up to the bombastic Babe Ruth was a diminutive 5'6" skipper named Miller Huggins? Could anybody else fine the untouchable legend $5000 and live to tell about it. "The Mighty Mite" was actually the man who suggested to New York's brass it would be in their best interest to acquire Ruth from the Red Sox.

Signed baseballs of Hall of Famer Huggins are notoriously tough to locate. Because he died suddenly, and during his managerial career, Huggins autographs have been elusive to even the most ardent Yankees fan. Presented is this signed Official American League Ban Johnson baseball, with red and blue stitching. The Huggins autograph stands out above all else (8.5/10) on this glorious orb. Ruth signed the sweet spot and added quote marks, a practice discontinued around 1927. Close observation reveals a notation " World Series 1923 Buster and Billy Putnam" on a side panel. PSA/DNA notates this was done in an unknown hand. The Ruth signature rates 2/10 in strength but is still visible. Other autographs have been lost to the effects of time and are indecipherable. Upstaging Ruth was a near-impossible feat, but in this one case, Huggins did just that. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
