Bill Rigney Signed Topps Contracts and Checks. Four rare and distinctive Topps cancelled checks and endorsement contracts from Topps to former New York/San Francisco Giants manager and former player Bill Rigney are featured among this grouping. It's an interesting look at how Topps contracted and paid players and managers in the 1950s and '60s for their card endorsements with checks to Rigney ranging from $5 to $75 (for two years contract extensions). Rigney spent all of his playing career with the N.Y. Giants from 1946 to 1953 and a good part of his managing career with New York and later San Francisco. He also managed the Los Angeles and later California Angels. These documents extend from 1956 through 1967.
